Reproduction Hippo
« on: March 29, 2011, 10:40:53 AM »
I'll take more pic's when I get this beast hung on my customers wall. The original hippo that he shot was dropped 12' from him when he was charged by two of them. The PH dropped the other one at a mere 10'. Within seconds the had 8,000 lbs of dead hippo literally at there feet.

My customer is going back next month to dart a rino and might possibly be one of the last people to ever get the opportunity to do so as they are trying to get that practice shut down.

Cool mount.  I bet that is exactly what he looked like when they shot it. ;)  John

No measurements on this one.You have the option of using the original tusks or repro's. I had already mounted his tusks on a plaque so he went 100% repro. When I do his rino he will have the option of a couple different size horns.

They come to me kind of an off white color and then I use reference photos to paint them. The hippo weighs about 75-80 lbs.
