44 lbs is a huge carp...

We should have Hunting-Washington carp shoot out some time in May.  I think there are lots of folks on here that have archery setup's for shooting carp.  The month of May would be a good time to go if the water warms up a bit.

Got a boat? I got a bow. :chuckle: I'm in! I've been wanting to do it for a long time. My ams kit is just collecting dust!

It's been a long time. But we used to catch them by using  dough bait made out of strawberry pop and wheaties. (mix 'em together and crunch up until desired consistency) ----I kid you not!

I am surprised that the master of carp, with rod and reel has not said anything on this thread. The washington state record holder with a fish of 41.4lbs, caught in 1980 and still standing today. Belongs to a member that most on here know :IBCOOL:

Nope its still the 41.4lb you can look up freshwater records for washington and see it there.

Yeah no doubt carp are good fighters but I grew up with a bow in my hands and we used to go to Moses L.K and shoot the heck out of them.. either method is alot of fun ..... :hello:
