I think putting it on a stump for bears is the way to go.
But since coyotes see better I think they hang up and investigate the decoy more if they see the whole thing. At least that's what I have kinda noticed the last couple times out.

As for the hounds..they are not supposed to be in there at all. Not even in another year. There is still another year under the current cycle and only after deciding not to have a spring drawing could the hound guys have another shot in there.

Not to butt in but I thought there was some depredation permitts up in or around the promiseland? I've known guys that hunt for the foresters up around there somewhere. I dunno.

 :P I dont think you shot bad,Billie, you just need a bigger gun, these NW yotes are tough. I'd think a 375 HH or mebbe a 458 might work.
