Couple of New Family Members...

The daughter turned 2 at the end of the month, so I decided to buy her a couple of guns. The first is a 1965 20 ga Beretta Golden Snipe O/U. I was sort of in the market for a 28 ga O/U but this is what was at the pawn shop, and I do love the looks of the older shotguns. It took a month and a half, but I finally got out and shot it. I was really surprised at how well it fit me. I was busting clays on the first throw. It is extremely well balanced and fast, and because of the weight I was swinging ahead and having to come back a little. So that will take some getting used to. I am guessing by the distances and the way the clays were breaking that the barrels are improved and full. The other nice surprise were the ejectors functioned perfectly and were poppig target loads about 2 feet in the air. I was not expectig that. This gun doesn't show much wear at all and I am really happy about getting it.
And this little Colt Commander will be for when I need to fend off the teenage boys. It shoots great as is, and I fed 500 rounds through it this past weekend with no failres, but I am picky and have a few things to change. I need to polish the hammer and sear connection to get the trigger as smooth as I want it, and the sights are going to get swapped out for Novak low profile tritium, and the grips will get changed to something thinner and smoother since this wil be my daily carry for a while.
