Restoring an old Mauser and I really don't like the rear base/ring combo...

i have a #45 on the rear of an old 1891 argentine small ring, but i hear the #55 is also a good one.
hard part is leveling the front mount, the mauser recievers lean towards the rear in a downward slant. sucks.
Have to bed or shim them.
