Buying a camera off of craigslist
« on: April 09, 2011, 04:02:43 PM »
Yesterday I saw a canon 40D with lenses for 450 bucks, seemed pretty cheap so I called the guy. He was just about to meet somebody that had offered him 425 and he was desperate for money so I asked a few basic questions about the camera and he had no idea how to answer the questions, I couldn't help but think that the camera was probably stolen. I like a good deal as much as the next guy but I hate funding a thief. How do you know for sure if something is hot?

I think you already answered your own question. He knew nothing about it and was desperate for money.

Great idea.
