Anyone out there shooting an Athens bow? If so how do you like it? If not what are your impressions of the bows?

I haven't shot one myself but have shot with a few people that own them.  They seem to send arrows down range ok.

I shoot an Exceed for target and an Ibex for hunting.  Both great bows.  I haven't shot the new Afflixtion, but from what I've heard, it's pretty amazing.  The draw cycles on all the Athens are very smooth and have a rock solid wall.  The narrow, bare riser grip took some getting use to.  The Accomplice bows have side plates.  Also, Athens provides excellent customer service.

I've read an article about the owner and his machine shop at work he has solid machines for all his bows.

A really well made bow.  The fit and finish is suberb, and the draw cycle is pretty smooth.  They are rated at 330+ fps, and that figure seems to be fairly accurate. I'm doing this from home off the top of my head, but if I remember correctly the brace height is 7".

Wholesale Sports was selling them in 2010, but the only store to sell any was Federal Way.  Corporate has decided not to carry Athens for 2011, don't ask me I just work there :dunno:.  Anyway, the Accomplish 32 and 34 that they have left have been dicounted from $749.99 to $619.99.

We have two of the 32 and three of the 34.  We will be bringing more in from the other stores.  The 34 are actually 2011 models that we got last fall.  70#, RH, we have  the cams to fit draw length.
