I bought one last time they were on sale at camofire, and the next day went to sportmans wherehouse (whatever it's called) in federal way and say the same camera for 114.00.  Camo fire ups the retail price a bit I think.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

how much did the solar panel upgrade run you? how much light does it need to keep the batteries going?
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

I think it was maybe $50. I just googled and looked until I found it cheap. I used it last winter with the panel pretty much directly in the sun with no problems. My batteries are the 5000 mAH. The batteries hold a charge because of the storage capacity. I got them at Radio Shack. Not a lot of choices for shopping here.

Just checked for you. Amazon has the solar panels for $43.21 with free shipping.

I did a quick Froogle/Google and it looks like there's a few e-merchants out there that beat the price. At least one, however, was a refurb. Caveat emptor as always.
