I only hunt (everything) with a Recurve bow, Eastern Turkeys still elude me, but when I get my Eastern I will plan on going east for the "easy ones"  :chuckle:

Here is my first Rio Grand gobbler I shot back in 1991 and since then I taken 11 gobblers with my bow ... In 2005  I shot a merriams that officially weighed 25 lbs 7oz and had it weighed in Chewalah at the hardware store ,they signed my score sheet for being a witness and I believe it will be the new state record for weight ..actually never weighed that rio but you can see it was no little turkey neither...bow hunting is getting alot more popular now they have these pop up blinds but I still love cuttin and running with my shotgun.. nothen cooler than hiking your butt off a couple miles from the road and getting one to gobble at you .. your heart beats fast and nothen like it ..

Here is my 25 lb 7 oz Merriam ...Stevens county .. I never hunt the first week .. If you want to seriosly hunt turkeys wait till the end of April  middle of May when hens are nesting and then you can kill turkeys and most guys tagged out or quit by then ...

Thanks , I am used to negitive input .. But we breath turkey hunting .. Everyone needs to carry a scale to weigh ther birds because most of the birds up north weigh (mature birds )weigh between 18 to 21 lbs ... when I shot that bird with my bow in 2005 I immediately took it to chewalah and had it weighed so there was no dreaming.. this is the biggest bird I ever taken in Washington ... he was the longest bird I ever seen and had a thick beard...
