Got my turkey Saturday near Spokane....25#, 9" beard, 1" spurs.........
Also had a cougar sneak up behind me while turkey hunting and then chase deer out of the bushes and across the road. I was on foot in the Teanaway, one and a half miles behind a locked gate, alone, and when I walked out to the jeep a half hour later, there he was next to the road with a deer in his mouth. Glad he ran into them first. Now I always make sure I have a tree at my back while calling.

got in across from this guy in the dark halfway down the hillside in a deep canyon, an owl was hooting and got 10 gobbles from him. set a decoy below and to the side of me and yelped once in the dark, he responded with 15 gobbles. at 5:20 i beat my chest like tarzan to let him know i was coming and yelped once more and watched him soar across with his big red head pointed right at me. he landed 40 yards directly above the decoy and side hilled across towards me. i swung on him when he walked behind a big fur and shot him when he stepped out less than 5 seconds after he touched the ground, he rolled right to my feet
last year i missed this bird less than 200 yard from where i killed him, so i'm all smiles for the next week or so 9" beard 1" spurs and almost 9 pounds of good trimmed meat

Any more pictures of late season birds??? Seems like the season started slow with the cold, wet weather .... but things definitely picked up this month.

Nope.had to settle for Kurt for that. Meg was suppose to be there but got a cold and couldn't go. Stunk on that reason because she missed a couple Doozies of hunts. Thanks guys. I'm working on her to go this weekend. May is always when it really gets good.
