Here's one of my 2011 turkey pics.  I hope it's ok to post here - when I opened this thread I didn't realize it was for dead birds.

No she didn't make it out. This weekend I took Dad one day then planned on taking one kid out each other day. Saturday at 0300 Derek decided sleep was better.Sunday Callie went out and we had them going but the day beforea jeep had come down the trail the birds like to strut on, it was enough of a deterent that the following day they would not cross it or use it. So they stayed just out of range. Close but no cigar. Oh well I told Callie that the good Lord didn't want me to shoot it but to know where to go next year once Callie is packing a gun. So youth season 2012 we'll be right there. Good spot, Dad's bird is the third one we got off that ridge within yards of each one.

PathfinderJR finally broke his jinx this year!  Baby brother had to get in on the trophy shot too...

Thanks, it was a really good trip, I hunted this bird all morning, he stayed just out of range. He was in full strut for about three hours. I went to the house, ate some lunch, and then went back. While I was easing up the fence line to the field he was in, I notcied him out in the field about 75 yards away, yelped a few times and he came like he was on a string.
