Rainier Archery took super care of me today, setting up my Z7, never had a bad experience there.

Larry at Fed. Way Wholesale Sports (fitted my Dad up with a bow), or Doug at NW who really knows his stuff.  Plus, check out his moose or some of his elk vids with Rocky Jacobson.

I've seen that kind of stuff more at "pro shops" than I have at wholesale sports(fed way anyways). Actually I've never had that experience at wholesale sports. :dunno: I usually know what I want before I talk to any archery tech ("pro shop" or box store) though.

 :yeah:

The archery staff at Wholesale are strapped by the corporate buyers.  I know they've been frustrated by this.  It's a bummer for both the the tech trying to help out and the customer.  Sometimes they'll have what I want, but more times than not, I buy online.  BTW, often the "pro" shops also won't have what I'm looking for.  Anyway, the guys at Wholesale know how to work on bows and they take their time to get it right.  Not saying that pro shops don't have good staff.  I've used them, also.  Just saying that some box stores do have good and qualified people working behind the counter.  A lot has to do with their attitude toward the sport and the customer.

I've concluded that finding a good bow mechanic is like finding a good auto mechanic.  You go through a fair amount of heart ache trying to find a good one and when you do, they know you for life.

I do see your point but in my expierience and opinion theres a big difference between the tech at the ford dealership and the sales associate at the auto zone.
