I am looking forward to getting a skull score here is a good pic that shows his monster skull. I am sure we have under guessed him on weight he is more in the 190-200 range. No less then 180 he is a dandy spring bear and has the frame of a 300lb'er in the fall. He didn't have nothing for fat left on him. Enjoy!

O.k time for the story. When I got into town my buddy was still and work. I got my key and he told me a gate and area to check out. It's hard hunting and early right now. Well I got to the gate and went threw but went into a different area then he was wanting me to check. "forgot what way he said to go lol" got into a area and loaded up my pack and took off up the canyon. I went down a road that dead ended so I decided to set up and call. After 30mins I decided to move on. After hiking up the switchbacks I came to a y with a old grower up road branching off the main road. I loved the look of this road and took off down it. I found the best looking bear area ever. Big timber with a clear cut above, below, and infront of me. I glasses the lower one first. Then looked over with my naked eye to the 2nd cut. I right away saw a black spot I knew was a bear. About 800-900y away there he was working the far edge of the cut. Going in amen out of the big timber. After watching him disappear I was disappointed. Then about 30 mins he came back out and dug and layer in a bed next to a huge stump. I took off on my stock. Why I dove off into this hole I don't know, I was bear crazed! Lol after crawling threw this westside jungle of stickers and rain for about a hour, I got to a huge stump that I marked to get to. I climbed up on it and looked down to the stump I thought the bear was by. No bear and I was disappointed to say the least. So I started to glass and saw nothing. Well I started getting pic's of the county with my cell. Just before leaving I decided to squall with my voice a little to see if I could maybe get him to move if he was in the area. Sure enough when I did 100-120 yards away next to a stump I see movement. I thought oh s! I threw my gun up and watched him ready to take a shot if he was going to leave. To my surprise after a minute he laid back down. I took my pack off and made a killer rest. I had a very small hole to shoot threw when he was going to get up. I steadily got ready and squalled with my voice again. The bear rose up in the front facing me, but quartered to the right so I could see the edge of his left shoulder. BOOM! The 180g etip smacked him and flipped him over and out of my sight. I knew the shot was good. With 10 sec's the death moan started, and last about 30 sec's. I knew it was a done deal. I called my buddy and he said to come pick him up, he just got off work. So after about 1 hr of hiking back out I booked it down to my truck and made it out and picked him up. We got to the last road we could get to and parked, then headed in with packs. After climbing down into the spot I shot him at. We found him stone dead right where I shot him. He was just low enough I could not see him after the shot. A lot of work and skinning and cutting meat. We set back out for our climb back with heavy packs! Awhile later and many bloody sticker branches later we got him out. A huge thanks to my bud again for his help! Thanks for following and reading on this outstanding bear hunt.
