berger bullets???

anybody ever used these bullets? they seem pretty good to me and thought about reloading them for .270win in 140 grain and a 300wsm in 168 grain. haven't found any reloading info yet. are they good quality bullets for deer, elk, and bears. hows the accuracy.
any info is greatly appreciated

bergers are awesome! the best bullet i have ever shot so far, i use them in my 30-06 168gr berger vld handloads

No but I am dieing to load some ... I forget who I was talking to on here a couple weeks ago and he loaded some for his 300wsm and the group he shoot was about 3/4 of an inch and some hit the same hole .... If they can beat this group then I will change but i  have shot hornaday bullets so long its hard to get away !!!

I was wondering too.  Every time I looked at the Recent Topics...there it was again, and again, and again, each with a different time stamp.

I've used them and it's been my experience that most barrels like them, however some don't.  I've got one old, old 300 Wby., and a Colt Sauer that both shoot the 210 match VLD's better than anything except the original (no longer made) Barnes X. 

HOWEVER, I haven't found a Berger bullet/load combo yet for my Dad's 7mm that will shoot any better than the (much cheaper) Sierra's that his barrel likes.  For most folks it would never make any difference, but he likes to do a lot of shooting, and so cost becomes a factor.

I do a lot of experimenting, and I alway go with the most accurate/fast, bullet/load combo.  If the bullets misses....it really doesn't matter what it was!

YEAH I love how sierra bullets shoot but they seem to expand to quick on impact and loose more retension than like a hornaday bullet.... I have seriously hurt some game with Hornaday and the result has never changed ..hard hitting and seriously deadly !!

I thought Berger was coming out with a 338 bullet.  I did not see that on their site.  Has anyone heard anything?

Yeah, I have some friends in the 338 lapua world and they have been talking about it. I guess it still being tested some. Supposed to be like 300 grains. I was looking for some info my my 340 wby

Been waiting to hear some news on the 338 bullet. There was another post on here i think it was 338 long range and it had all the info and a link to it.

I didn't have enough time to really get them dialed last year, but it was a pain with the .300 WSM. . .

They like to be seated right on the lands, and with the short action of the .300 WSM it would mean that I'd have to go single shot because they're too long for the clip.  I did manage to get them shooting right at 1 MOA for season before I called it good though, and they did a number on deer in CO, ID, and WA.

It has been my experience with the Bergers that you need to not get frustrated with a less than great group at a 100 yards....shoot them at 200 or 300 and see what happens!Seems like they take a little bit longer to stabilize,maybe its just my rifle but at a 100 yards they dont do anything that my hornadys wont...but at 200-1,000 yards...look out.

You do need to have a long action to best utilize the Bergers for sure or else you might as well buy a single shot rifle.
