I said yes.  Since it's not a traditional season and they allow inlines/sabots/pellets....why not?

Bow isn't a traditional season.... Hasn't been for as long as ML.... Little longer actually.. Let's allowe them lights and optics on bows....  :dunno:

Can you legally hunt big game at night in Washington, over here we have the dawn to dusk thing so lights would not help our bow hunters...
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I would use a scope, but I would much rather see the WDFW allow the use of 209 primers during the regular ML seasons.

I would vote no,

I think it takes the primitive out of the hunt. Never hunted with a muzzleloader or a bow for that matter. I like the report of a big ol rifle going off and the dirt nap that follows.
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

That happens with a muzzle loader too.  More times than not that the animals I shoot with a smoke pole take a dirt nap.

BIG yes for me. I think it would help a lot with people taking the shots that they know the gun can do but end up being a bad shot on the animal because of the open sites. We all know that you shouldnt take the shot if you are not 100% but you know people still take the 125-150yard shot because they know the gun can do it. Ends up with a wounded animal. I think scopes would help that problem.

Couldn't have said it better myself The100Road
In all reality, if we want to truly use primitive weapons for the Muzzleloader season we should be using flint locks.  Anyone using an inline with Musket caps or #11 caps can't use the argument that it takes away from the primitive nature of the hunt.
