What kind of horses do you work with?  I"ll swap you a month of training for a month of training.  I'll teach your pup about tracking and gunfire.  You ride a 4 year old mare hard for a month she needs wet saddle blankets.  :dunno:

Just let your dog find them. Beagles know what to do. Make sure she you can control it with commands and you'll be fine. Mine have always been great grousers. Great noses for birds or bunnies.

Everyone is right on about the beagle.. I have run beagles for along time and never put much efford into training them to hunt... the hunting part comes automatically once she starts going .. once they run one or two they are a rabbit chasing genius..also when I was a kid I always shot alot of pheasant off my dogs and I cant count how many red & grey fox I killed neither and I also used them to hunt squirrels but this was back east and the beagles I have now go nuts when they see a squirrel... Hell if they were not so short legged I would run cougar with them if it were only legal ....good luck she will be chasing rabbits in no time !
