A new bird for me

I was stalking this bird thinking it was one of my oriolles, but then I saw the beak.   I'd never seen one before.  I'm like whoa that looks like a grosbeak.  Googled grosbeak and sure enough...a Black headed Grosbeak.

Glad you got a picture, it must be rare bird, at least where I live, I've never seen one before.

Yep, Have 2 pairs by my house this year. I thought oriole at first too.

They are pretty regular here but only in the late spring and summer, Whatcom County.  I saw one with yellow markings instead of orange and never saw one like that before.  Didn't look it up or anything.

Nice looking bird and its a day of Grosbeaks. The one I posted a picture of was with a dozen or so.
