Another plus is that if I wanted down the road I could by another conversion kit and make it into a .40 Cal.  The 40 and 357 use the same magazines.

I've been contemplating buying the .357sig barrel for my  Glock 22. Any advanages of it over the .40s&w?
Why bother if I already have a .40??
Cool factor? I'm ok with that?

They are to close ballistically, but the coolness would be a good reason, just cuss, lol

I would definitely do as others said and buy up as much ammo I could. You never know how long the "not as popular" calibers will stay around.

Happy Father's Day! Very nice!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I just picked up a Sig 239 in this caliber a couple of days ago. I thought that it might be fun to play with for a while. I had no idea how hard it would be to find ammo locally. I didn't want to buy the reloading dies and brass for a gun I only plan to have for a while, but it might be the best way to go about this. So I'll go along with everybod else and say you should stock up on ammo or reloading components.
