A good buddy of mine drew a 49 degrees, any moose tag with 10 points. He has no idea where to hunt, but at least we have one contact that lives in the unit. Lots of scouting is in order. Should be a neat hunt to be a part of.

That's what my wife tells me after too many hot wings and beer, as she stumbles towards the window.

Didn't "draw" a tag, but going mtn. goat/moose hunting in B.C. this year...didn't want to have to wait till I was 143 years old to "draw" a tag in this state, so I'm just gonna go do it while my knees will let me.

My brother and I always put in for the OIL tags individually thinking that if one of us draws the other will be there to help.  Well wouldn't you know it, we both drew a 49 degrees north moose tag.  Oh well at least we will be hunting together.

Welcome to the site!

We expect lots of pics and a story ;)

Have double digit in all three OIL tags 12-14 pts and feel the same way when will it happen? Thinking Canada would be a great option since I might be retired before I draw   :chuckle:

I just looked at the proposed regulations and if you get drawn for an oil tag its now $330 dollars WTF. Am I reading this right? I will not think twice about applying or spendinding the money but its actually getting cheaper to hunt in some other states than it is in the one I live in.

:yike: Serious! WTF, what a bunch of crap if this is true. I know some guys on here will say they would gladly pay more for the tag but this is supposed to be a once in a lifetime tag, how about keeping it in reach for all.  Greedy a holes, yes I will pay it but what a bunch of crap.  When will it end, do they realize that they could raise the price to 1000 dollars and we would still pay! It shouldn't be about the money on these OIL tags, they are missing the point.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I saw it on the WDFW website so its not something I heard second hand I also seen that the quality tag permits are just above $13. If we could look at the new regulation pamphlet we would know for sure but every year those keep coming out later as well.

Really? Where is it cheaper to hunt an OIL species in another state? My credit card would strongly disagree with you.
