First off if he doesn't know that this is a good tag then why did he put in for it. But guessing he already knew this was a great tag. Only 1 tag given out to a rifle hunter during the rut time, so yeah its a good tag. But shed crazy is right the clockum herd has taken a hit by the indians. But there are some quality bulls in that unit. Will just need to find em, but shouldn't be too hard during the rut. I will be in the vicinity of that hunt looking for my cow that I got drawn for  :IBCOOL: Good luck and congrats to your brother

Have your brother scout it and then get ahold of me if he isn't seeing what he wants.  I have been drooling for that tag. It's the Golden Ticket!  I guess I could give my knowledge to one other. Only if he keeps it to himself.  I live near the Naneum Ridege State Forest and spend A LOT of time in it. I know where the Royals hang. Two different locations for sure. He must be in GREAT shape, and have a lot of patience. I am fortunate though. I did get drawn for a Desert Deer tag. Another Golden Ticket.  :)

Spend time scouting and get away from the roads. The Indians rarely travel far from their trucks to shoot. Look at the remote steep and nasty areas.

Be prepared for a long packout

That is a great tag

Congrats

Yeah he knew it was good, just a little sarcasm. We usually put in for partner apps but can't with only 1 permit.

You guys are idiots"for the most part" because you talk so much and publicize the few good tags in this state we get guys who don't even know what there putting in for drawing these tags. This state is going to get completely ruined by people talking so damn much.

Yep, nobody knew about the Colockum until now.  In modern rifle general season you usually have it all to yourself...

Shhhh...don't let anyone know.

That looks more like a reason to NOT apply to me, if I'd never been there.
