Teepee trail down East Butte Creek divides Wenaha East and West. The Tucannon unit is On the north side of the Teepe parking lot.  You can stand in one place and throw a rock into 3 different units!!!!!!!!!!   The trail to Indian and Diamond from Teepee divides the Tucannon and Wenaha East.

I hunted the Wenaha east and west for a few seasons recently (modern) and saw good numbers of elk.  2 game wardens stopped in our camp one afternoon and provided a TON of information (where they were bugling in September, what times of day they were bugling, where they would look in October if they were us, the camps that had tagged out, etc).  Best info I have even been given, very friendly couple guys that seemed to genuinly want everyone to enjoy themselves.  I can't for the life of me remember their names, but with a little research I'm sure you could figure out who they were and contact them.

I didn't tag out that year, but the wardens informed us that they had stopped by 5 camps that same day of people that had branch antler tag - and all of them had good bulls hanging.  Same with archer season.

Good luck to you!  Great tag in a great are

I don't know if I'm goofed up or not now...is there more than 1 Indian Corral down there? Because the Indian Corral on the map that I know is closer to the Lick Creek unit than it is to Wenaha East.

mtncook is right, the trail along indian corral is the dividing line. Still pretty far from west wenaha though.

west wenaha is a small area with very few trails that aren't very long. It is very thick in spots which makes it tough to navigate some areas, steep too.

Great. Now I'm even more cornfused.

I guess maybe I just figured it out. Does it only make up a very small portion of the border then go north to Indian Corral? I guess that's how it works. I just went and looked at a map.  The trail to Indian Corral heads north from Oregon Butte though where the trail to Diamond Peak continues east. The trail to Indian Corral only makes up the border for that brief period from Teepee to Oregon Butte...The actual area referred to as Indian Corral is nowhere near the Wenaha units...do I have this correct now?
Geez I hope so anyway, otherwise I'm going to lose sleep.

You almost have it.  Indian Corral is the head of Trout creek which joins third creek. But Indian Corral is just across the trail from the Wenaha East unit.  Like I said earlier that trail divides Tucannon and Wenaha East.  This all a long way from the first post asking about Wenaha West.
