Horn Growth (pics Added)

I was just wondering how much horn a bull grow from now untill the velvet is shed. Me and the boy found a nice bull yesterday one of the biggest so far this year. I will post a picture later.

Send me its GPS coordinates so I can go take a look at him and give you a good estimate  :chuckle:  Good question, I'll be curious to see what people have to say.  My guess is that they will grow quite a bit more though.

I have read that an elk can grow up to 1-2 inches on each antler per day during their peak growth. If they are anything like whitetail the growth starts slowing a month before they shed their velvet.

Oh ok I think I know where thats at!  Ahhh NW trek, love that place!  Man I can't wait for Sept 6th to get here, doesn't hurt that I have a White River tag either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be honest the bull I seen is not in NWT but not far from there and safe from me. Handcock I will post a pic later today.

So how big was the bull compared to the trek bulls? Id like to think that the horn growth should be some what close to them on a nice bull.
