Anyone have issues with loading the Spitfire tmz's in your guns?  I took them out shooting yesterday and it took all that I had to get them to load.  I even had a friend load it to make sure I wasn't just a big wuss.  I went ahead and ordered some of the newer Spitfire t-ez's, since they are designed for that reason.  Should probably have them next weekend or so, hoping they are easier to load.  Have heard nothing but good things about the Spitfires performance and want to give them a try, but not if it takes all the strength I have to load them.

some guys put bore butter on the sabot's to get them to load a little easier.  I shoot the Expander MZ in my .54.  Once you get them past the crown - they push in much easier than going through the crown.

They are a bit on the snug side. When ever I go to the range, after each shot I will wipe the barrel down with a patch with bore butter. Then wipe it again with a dry patch. Never had any loading problems doing that.

They are great bullets, they are tight in both my guns. The t-ezs will load better, but I have always liked boat tailed bullets better.

I bought two new packs cause I thought that's what I was going to use but after I broke two ramrods trying to load them I gave up.Barnes also makes one they call T-E-Z and it comes with a blue sabot.It's made for tight fitting bore's (mine is a Knight Bighorn) and with these I have no trouble loading and they shoot as accurate as any I have ever used.Shot an cow elk this past season with them and as you can see I dead centered both lungs at 128 yds.Accurate easy to load and devasting , I think you,ll like them!!!!

A friend also suggested lubing them up before loading, which sounds good at the range, but seems like it could be a pain in the arse in the field.  Not something I want to have to think about, whether or not I lube the sabots before loading.  If I need a follow up shot on my deer or elk this year and forget to lube it up I'm going to be pissed when I can't get the damn thing to load fast enough.  I'll try the EZ's and see how they work out, I'm sure they will still be more than enough for what I want.  Anyone have any load's that seem to work best?  Shooting pyrodex pellets right now but not opposed to switching that up if it helps.  Shooting a TC Blasck diamond express

Try triple seven ff loose - It burns hotter and cleaner.  The pyrodex pellets are designed to work with a 209 ignition to burn cleanly.  They also get damp easily and won't fire.

Just fyi out of my T/C Black Diamond xr, I get the best accuracy using 80 grns of triple 7 fffg, and I get the best out of my Bighorn with 100 grns. When I was using ffg I was able to shoot 100 grns out of each gun.

My cousin and uncle get great groups with 100grains and I shoot 110 loose fffg. All three of us shoot the black diamond xr. It's is my backup gun, my main gun a cva elkhorn also likes 110grains. Funny they vary so much.

Went to the range and tried the Barnes spitfires, they are alittle tight at the crown. But I can't argue with my grouping. 2 inch group at 100 yards. I was using 2 50 grain pyrodex pellets with my knight bighorn.

Well I got the new ez's this last weekend but didn't have time to go shoot them yet.  If not this weekend then deffinatly the next.

Finally got out to try the new EZ's.  They shoot great, at 50 yards the hole are just about touching.  I'm very happy with them so far.  I'll shoot them some more but it looks like they will be plenty accurate enough.  Got it about an inch high at 50.  Bought the gun used and didn't even have to adjust the sights.  I'm more than happy with my Black diamond.
