unit 460 scouting?
« on: June 24, 2011, 03:22:04 PM »
anyone out there want to scout unit 460 for elk? i know where they usually hangout....just dont have anyone who will take the time to scout with me.

this will be my first time hunting the westside for elk. but i grew up hunting the unit for deer. so if you are interested in getting to know the area for deer or elk this would be a good chance.

usually i archery hunt the eastside for elk.

my buddie's group gets a few bulls every year out of the area i want to hunt. its not heavily hunted at all other then them and they all archery and muzzy hunt
i know their general area, just dont have it 100% figured out yet. one of the guys hinted that i was really close to the area last year. but i never quite firgured it out so i chose not to elk hunt last year. this year though i will get it done. i got a new rifle and new wind under my sail

i also have my own spots where i have been seeing elk every year for the last 10+ years. they are just in the hancock tree farm and we have to walk in.  :bash:

Yeah I archery hunt as well! I know where alot of the elk are too on hancock land, not to far from the house! I made it home now and I'll send you a pm and we can hook up.
