Turkey Slayer Scouting Pics 2011
«
on:
July 02, 2011, 08:53:07 PM »
Went out for the 1st scouting trip this morning. Seen one real nice 4 but couldn't get a shot with the camera. As most of you no from July to hunting season that's all I do. So lots more to come. Check out the 2ed to last buck with its ears layed down and he was a legal 3 point but his horns were only 6inch. tall there was one more buck in there but new got a picture.
Thanks Brandon

Here are some from Saturday. The wheat is so tall that there was 4 little bucks standing 80 to 100 yard from my truck and couldn't even see them, and some bigger deer standing in a mustard patch.

Hoping some one will kill the buck in the last bunch of pictures (2 and 3 pic ). He is nothing except a big 2. He split on his right and a small eye guard.

Most of the property is private but a few of the bucks are on state. The bucks that I posted last weekend were all on state. I would say the percentage would be 20 vs 80, 80 being private. Most of the pictures is of the property that I have permission to hunt or I am scouting for other people. It's one of my favorite hobby is looking at deer. Let me know if I can help

Here are some pics from this morning. Been seeing a lot of buck with real nice horn groth. I have one buck on one of my propertys that will go over mid 170 with a dropper but I haven been able to get any pics of him.
Found a real nice 4 point today back off the road about 2 miles. One of the most symmetrical buck that I have seen this year.
I all so seen my 1st hard horned 4 point today.

Really good pics. You really are spending the time out there. Thanks for posting this stuff. Are you taking pics with a digital camera through the spotting scope to get those pics? Ive done that before, and it works, but its a pain in th ass...

That velvet looks about ready to come off. I saw a hard-horned whitey last night.
