So i've gone bear hunting once with a rifle and didn't get anything.  I bought a new bow and really want to get it out into the woods. just wondering if anybody has had any luck getting a bear down in the Lake wenatchee area using one? How'd you do it? I'm not a fan of tree stands.

Shhhhh!  I don't think there are any bears around there ;)

Hard to find bear in the open around there.  Not quite like the berry fields in Alpine areas.  Walk gated roads in an area with lots of berries.  Or down by the river if fish are spawning.  But the trails are good up above if you are in for some back country hunting where you have a better chance of spot and stalk.  Quite a few stupid little guys around close to the lake but I'd feel guilty shooting one of those kindergartners.  The big boys are there, but I've found them damn spooky with the bow.  Not impossible as I know two big ones taken with the bow last year by friends of mine.  Both were too busy destroying elderberry bushes to know the doctor was giving immunizations that day :o.

Make sure those broadheads are damn sharp!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
