DB Electric Motor: Bow Mount?

I found a never been used 71lb Motorguide Great White (saltwater version) electric motor for "CHEAP"! It is a bow mount though. Anyone install a bow mount on the transom of there driftboat? I've only heard of people turning the head around on the transom mount versions. I love my DB, but I love to fish too! Any advice would be great.

I had a minn kota that we used on a friends db a few times. We turned the head around. It was a transom mount. Worked good.
