I had already put one on, but had to get an even longer and taller one.  That did the trick. Thanks again for all the great advice.

Put your eye right up against the scope.  Really helps to block out the light.  I have a picture of where I tried that with a .300 mag.  Worked great except for the part where I spent an hour searching for my eyeball.
