Season Setting Timeline:

Phase 1 - Issue Scoping: April 2011 – September 2011

Public Comment Period: August 15 – September 20
•An online “Scoping Survey,” will be used to solicit input on major issues and options to address those issues. These issues will be discussed at four public meetings held around the state in late August.
Public Meetings:

Western Washington:

•August 22 – Federal Way
•August 23 – Centralia
Eastern Washington:

•August 24 – Spokane
•August 25 – Yakima
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Where did you get the dates and the sites for the meetings. I called the Commissioners office today and they told me all the meetings will be in Olympia except a meeting in Ellensburg. Let me know. Thank you.

http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/regulations/ Look under the heading Season Setting in the right hand column and click on 2012-14 Hunting Season Setting Process NEW!

Sounds like they answered the wrong question. These are Public Input gathering meetings, not Commission meetings.

It would appear that the Governor has their hands pretty well tied in regards to what can and cannot be considered for change in the upcoming three-year package:
