Great!  Got caught in a big storm, but I saw it coming so bivied up in a hole.  Built a nice fire and stayed out of it for a couple hours.  I had hefty bags (safety jackets) in my pack, so gowned em up and headed for the truck.

Hefty bags saved my a$$ once on a permit hunt up the top of Chinook pass in late October.  Snow storm rolled in along with the fog.  I didn't have a GPS and got all turned around and couldn't follow my own tracks back to camp in the snow.  Ended up spending a night out without fire in semi wet clothes.  The two black garbage bags in my pack and extra thermal shirt made it bearable.  Had to pass on 3 different bulls just before sun down and right at sun up because I thought I had crossed into a different unit that was not open.

Its hard snowpack so the rapid meltoff is done.   This will rejuvanate many bowls that need it.  Bowls you and I have seen disappear the last couple years.
