shooting lane trimming
« on: July 19, 2011, 10:07:36 PM »
wondering how many others out there have trimmed up their shooting lanes? just got mine all set for the season last weekend and cant wait to pull the cam this weekend to see how they reacted to it.. even made up a new pad with backrest for the stand since the wife is gonna bow hunt out of it also. time to set up a second one at the house for practice shots at possible ranges for her.

I dont hunt from a stand very often but I did start grooming access points to some areas.  I want to be able to sneak in without them hearing me coming.

I've gotta start getting some ground blinds made, and shooting lanes. I've already got some access trails, been going in and out of the same couple areas for the last six months, checking my trail cameras. Just haven't quite figured out where exactly I need to have a couple ground blinds. I also have a climbing tree stand that I hope to use.

Heading up to my archery deer area today to check & clean old stand and hike around for a new one. I have a couple of areas to check out.  Nice to get out, only a little over 5 weeks !   Mike
