R U happy with the new Knight Bighorn?
« on: July 21, 2011, 07:44:45 AM »
After all my reads on here and holding them, my son and I are thinking about buying them for our first muzzleloaders! Were they accurate right out of the box? And what did you use for powder and bullets? Did you use Knight's recommendations?

The Knight Big Horn is a very good muzzleloader and has been used by many northwestern hunters, but i believe there is a more versitile Knight that you might want to look at.  The Knight DISC Extreme - most do not know that with a Knight Western Kit installed it is a legal gun for hunting in the Pacific Northwest states during muzzleloading season and better yet during regular rifle season scope it up, put the 209 conversion back in, shoot the more modern BH-209 and go hunting.  So you are actually getting 2 guns for one.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I have a Knight Buck Horn. I love it. Having a in line with a removeable breech plug is a big plus in the Northwest.

Two years ago I switched from modern to muzzy for deer and picked up a Knight Bighorn.  Last year I tagged my 5by5 muley at 117 yards with a Knight Bighorn.  I love mine.  I am looking at picking up one of the new Knights so I have a back up.

I just picked up a knight bighorn SS carbon fiber stocked from wholesale sports on Sunday took it out and the first shot was pretty much dead on at 50yds using the suggested load of a musket cap 2 triple seven pellets and a Hornady 250grain SST bullet from the guy at the gun counter. after moving the target out to a hundred yards a slight adjustment to the left and everything is perfect absolutely no malfunctions or misfires at all i was able to fire twelve shots before any kind cleaning was necessary. :IBCOOL: I love this gun i can not wait for deer season to get here
