Slick Trick 125's all the way baby.  Check thes two videos out.  The first video is a bunch of random broadheads.  Towards the end a Slick Trick is shot through a barrell and the head still looks damn near brand new. ( Fast forward to the time marker 5:00-Interlock, 5:20-G5 Stryker, 5:40 Wacem, 6:02 Slick Trick)   The second video is a close up of a slick trick after it was shot into a cinder block.  Again damn near looks brand new.

Although if I didn't shoot Trick's I'd shoot the Shuttle T.

I go old school with Thunderheads.  However, the most impressive broadhead performance I've ever seen was a 3-blade muzzy in WY in 1993.  My buddy took a 40 yard shot at a 4x5 bull standing broadside behind a big lodgepole pine.  Shot looked awesome, until the arrow hit a small branch at the front end of the trees canopy at the top of its arc, and deflected back behind the trunk.  Bull was obviously hit, and had trouble using his left rear leg.  He holed up in a patch of timber, we gave him 6 hours and went in, my buddy uphill and me downhill.

We found him dead.  As we dressed and quartered him for packing, we discovered that the arrow had hit square on the hip joint, shattering the head of the femur, and punching through the left hip socket and penetrating into the abdomen.   The broadhead was in the abdominal wall just ahead of the penis sheath.  It has punched through 3-4" of hard, solid bones, after we washed it up it looked like it was brand new out of the package.

I've shot two BT's the past two years with the same muzzy 3 blade. Didnt realize it until after I shot the second dear. First dear was a complete pass through heart shot second dear I was in a real awkward position and pulled the shot a foot and a half and ended up blowing right through the left hip socked and out the other side. Found the arrow and broadhead was perfect. Dear went about 40 yards and piled up

For carrying around in my quiver, the G5s work very well. It's been so long since I killed an elk that I've been through about 3 different ones since. My elk went down to a Zwickey two-blade and they are awesome.

To each its own. Indians killed buffalo with stone tips. As long as the head shoots good for you keep shooting it. I shoot shuttle T's and have no plans on changing. But thats me.

If you want the best broadheads money can buy, go to AK Bowhunting Supply.

I shoot the Masai 150gr broadhead.  Flies like a DART.  It is a single-bevel head that you match to your fletching (i.e., right-wing or left-wing).  It also has a tanto tip that causes rotation on impact adn will shatter bone and keep on going.  Full pass through every time for me!

Maasai Broadhead Specs:
•440C Stainless Steel blades - Sub Zero Quenched
•58 Rockwell Hardness
•Convex edge design
•25 degree Single bevel (right or left)
•Tanto tip
•CNC aircraft grade aluminum ferrule
•Smooth transition, low profile ferrule
•Stainless Steel screws
•Razor sharp and ready to hunt
•Available in 200, 175, 150, 125 and 100 grains
•Screw in design fits all threaded inserts
•3 per pack

  Maasai Broadhead Dimensions:
  Maasai 100 1 1/8" x 1 9/16"
  Maasai 125 1 1/8" x 1 3/4"
  Maasai 150 1 1/8" x 1 3/4"
  Maasai 175 1 1/8" x 1 7/8"

I'll stick with my Sonic 125gr broadhead.  Multiple years of full freezers is enough proof for me.  If it flies good and kills for you, keep shooting it.  There will always be someone or something that is the next best or toughest out there, I say shoot whatever puts meat on the ground for ya.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

How have the sonics been for you on Blade retention?
I shot them for awhile several years back, I liked the way the flew but lost blades several times.
I would guess they have addressed that by now?
