Picture of HuntWa with a Sturgeon he got.....  Boneaddict in some fighting mode with a fish and Pope taking a close up of the close in action...... Huntnphool landing one.......... And the BEST pose of the day!  Say Cheese.  Never mind....  Good time for sure, learned some good areas on Washington side, learned that not all Lawyer jokes are funny till later in the day.....  Best of all, got to meet some good guys and fun water ride back in...

Love them sturgies. Great pics.

Jay if i saw someone haul a fish like that out of the water with a hand in the gills for a "make me feel good about myself photo" i would be making a phone call... No reason to do that, if that was a big female and she had eggs, be sure that she lost them... There goes another spawning class, just for a photo... If you turn them over they will just lay there, if ya want a photo do it with them in the water not out...

Thanks coho for the pics.  It was alot slower than our first trip, but still good company, and a good day on the water.  The weather wasn't as nice as the pics might portray, but when the sun came out, so did the fish.  Doesn't matter though in boat like thes guys have.  It could get real nasty and life would still be good.   ANOTHER great day on the water THANKS to Huntnphool.   I Really appreciate it Rob, and the family enjoyed the weekend in Astoria.

Good to meet you Ray and Mike.  Funny, you introduced yourself real quick in the morning, and off we went.  I was talking to Rob for a second and said there sure are alot of Rays out there with MRay(whose not really Ray at all) and Huntwa and cohoho's friend Ray.  He just kind of looked at me strange.  That is Ray from Huntwa.   OK so I am a bit slow.  I don't know, I had a picture of bosworth from california archery hunting in my hea with blonde hair...........anyhow, I think it took Pope by surprise too, so I don't feel so bad.

The best quote of the day was after we dropped Rob's friend off, and came back to reclaim our spot......Cohoho chimes in over the radio noticing we were missing our fourth, "what did you do throw the lawyer over for bait." :chuckle:

Everytime we saw Bone, he was outside sitting on the engine cover, then it hit us, he was too tall to stand up inside, even then, I think he would have hit his head.

:chuckle:  Nah, boat was plenty comfortable, I was just anxious for some action and I was waiting to rip some lips.  We went in for awhile and shut the doors when the wind got bad, and I was joking that I might be replacing a cover because if I saw a rod twitch, I might just drop a shoulder and go through. :)   Mostly, I'm from the Wenas, so the wind doesn't bother me too much.

I know, I was just telling my buddy in AK, that I needed Bear blood as it's initiation and right of passage strewed around in a 360 of the boat.  This weird ritual each year brought my other boat luck all season.  I guess since there is really no spring bear unless drawn, even less opportunities from boat, I have had to settle with Springer and some Sturgeon, but think personally Halibut might just be the ticket.......   In the end, I guess I'll have to settle for some Sheep blood from the Lake Chelan region WHEN I get drawn.....  Still trying to name the boat, but haven't fully committed on COHOHO yet as was the old boat....

Fun day guys.  Thanks Phool for the invite.  That was definitely the highlight of my vacation as I had to hang out with the inlaws for 5 days straight...  It's just good to get out, tell some stories, hear some lawyer jokes, and catch a fish.

Well there are plenty of camp spots down where we were, we could always make it a catch and release campout, more about the campfire anyway.  :cmp1: :cue: :party1: :fishin:

Can take three at a min, probably four, but I only got enought decent gear for three (Okuma 25's), Unless someone brings there own set-up...  If for Salmon, got plenty of that terminal tackle, just left handed stuff (Abu Garcia 6501's)...  Figure HuntWA would have the co-seat since he was the best anchor guy out there yet....

i have rods and reels equivalent to what huntnphool  has on his boat that ray can borrow....say the word.
my weekends are mostly gonna be booked for the summer with scouting trips, vacations, family time till hunting season, etc, but the rods are there for the taking.

Huntnphool, probably would know best, but too me water is plenty deep enough, saw a couple bigger boys up same area late in the day.  I guess it might be tricky coming back around the piers, etc.. with the low sandy areas...  But man it would be a smooth ride through the chop versus the jets....  Oregon side not a problem at all, there were 50 foot crusiers where we were at..
