If you have the money and that's what you want, that is the right camper.  You could argue for one price point or the other, or even point out that you could rent an awesome cabin for over 200 nights for the cost of some of them, but at the end of the day everyone has their priorities and wants and budgets.

I don't own one but have stayed in buddy's campers that cost from $15k - $$$$$$$+ and I had fun in all of them.

So, what do you guys know about forest river, model is “vibe”?   I haven’t heard many good things from a couple people.

2013 Fox Mountain 235RLS $21500 made by Norhwood Mfg. This is the trailer we purchased last May, I’ll probably never be able to buy one of these new but I would never buy anything but Northwood Mfg or Outdoors RV. I saw numerous good deals on used travel trailers from these manufacturers last spring but my wife wanted a 5th wheel and I was fortunate to find this one. You can save a lot of money buying one a few years old and there’s many that are still like new. :twocents:

ive already commented on here about forrest river.  Im one of those guys that got the spendy forrest river trailer and it had alot more things wrong with it versus my "cheap" keystone springdale. Research forrest river and you probably wont buy. I bought the wildcat maxx model.

Thanks, sorry I didn't go back and read your post, I probably should.  Lots of good info on this thread.  I think I'm passing on the forest river, it's a very nice looking trailer inside but I just have a hard time trusting the build.  This search is a pain, but I'm the worst customer a business can ask for, I need all the research possible to feel comfortable.  Appreciate ALL the advise.

Well we pulled the trigger tonight, it's been a interesting search.  I will say this, the outdoor rv trailers are bad azz. But we just didn't want to spend the money and decided with the keystone cougar model.  27' bunkhouse, from a dealer up in Burlington.  I really appreciate the info and help.  Now I need a metal shelter!!!

Nice, congrats!
We are enjoying our cougar bunk house so far. Everything is running great and works like a charm.
Did you buy a new model?
I didn't ever see a 27' bunkhouse in our looking.

Sorry, 29 bunk house model. It’s a 2019, thanks.  Pick it up next weekend.

Gotcha!
You gain the sofa in the slide out over the model we got. I was so close to getting the 29 over the 25, but I was really dead set on as short as possible with all the features we wanted.
Congrats again and I hope it serves you well.

We almost got a ODR last summer, but man they are spendy. But once you have looked at them and researched them, it’s hard to look at others. We stayed 52 nights in our trailer last year, so we use it enough to justify upgrading. I want a outdoors Rv  real bad. I’ve thought about going down there and doing the tour. But that I’m sure want help make decision any easier.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Nash was made by same group.

Nash and outdoor have the same quality frame, tires, suspension, walls and floors. Nash started making odr I think in 2008.

Well, we got our new trailer home tonight, they charge 900+ to install batteries, propane tanks full, clean, wax and run everything. We get there to pick it up, 2 (hour drive), and it’s not detailed, not waxed, has shavings in the drawers, on the bed. But that’s stuff I can deal with at home, just want to get it home.  So, we get home, turn everything on, run furnace, fridge, and the water pump.  After going over it and finding little stuff that needs fixed, I notice water starting to run on the floor from underneath the main sink.   A fricken water leak!  It is leaking at both the cold water and hot water connections where the faucet connects to the water lines, so much for camping next weekend.  We knew there would be issues, but not water leaks!  Hopefully they fix it now!
