Insect Repellant
« on: July 27, 2011, 09:35:58 PM »
This may be a stupid question, but will me dousing myself in bug spray scare off a bear?  When I went to check my trail cam today, I was covered in every kind of insect known to man (It's in a swampy area). Any advice?

if they smell the bug spray they will smell you so I wouldnt worry about it.  Just use the wind.

We could say [Democrats] spend money like drunken Sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken Sailors. It would be unfair, because the Sailors are spending their own money.

I am skeptical about the scent from thermacell. Do they keep bugs away? Sure do! But man those things do not smell right to me! Lord knows what an animal thinks. Espically the earth scented ones. :twocents:
Team nubby!
