Eastside scouting pics
« on: August 01, 2011, 08:42:43 PM »
Two weekends ago I located this nice herd of about 50.  They were vocal as all get out!  This weekend I found them again and took some pics of the spikes in the bunch.  Sorry for the quality...point & shoot :(

No need to be sorry, those pics look good to me.  What method are you hunting?

Modern...I'll be spike hunting, that's for sure.  True Spike only...there's a few out there.

Nice spike's and great pictures. Good luck nail one of them.

Yeah, I'm modern too and have seen a few where I've been scouting.  Been tracking and glassing.  I just don't have pics. :(

That's how I've been all summer.  I finally started bringing the camera to show my wife and daughters what they were missing out on :)  Apparently, I'm missing out on alot of shopping...oh well!  It's a good trade off in my book!

I took the family with on Saturday.  Not as much walking as I wanted, but definitely learned the area more than I expected.  13 hrs with the wife and kids resulted in my son getting hyped up.  This is his first year.

Not this weekend, unfortunately I've got some commitments.  I'd like to get out and find some deer the weekend of the 13th.  How's that sound?  Maybe I'll have the new tent by then.

Isn't that the truth!  I never thought that I'd be so thrilled to see a tall true spike.
