No bear yet, just some pics of current adventures
« on: August 10, 2011, 05:09:40 PM »
Have gone out only once serioulsy so far, but it was alot of fun. Seen a coyote (possibly called in, no shot), couple deer called in and heard what I believe to be two bears ripping stumps apart (he just wouldnt come out of the woods).... Should be a good year for bears. Plenty of food, nice and cool etc....Enjoy the pics...I put some on here for both the poo crew and the stump humpers. These stumps were all hit pretty fresh. Most of the stumps in this area were hit. It was pretty neat to see, as previously, there were not that many.

Called in two black tail deer. So far, RRcall (the elk horn special with the bear claws on em) are up two to nothing against the Spitfire. The flower pic is eye level where I was hiking about...so they were quite tall and very pretty. Lots of black berries (wild vine runners, low to the ground), hucks, salmons and stumps....good times. Love bear hunting!

Very cool.  I found a whole area last year with stumps that look just like that.  I missed them by about a week judging by the poo.  Headed there first thing Saturday morning.

Nice man.  Ive been doing all evening hunts but thinking maybe the morning might yield better results. Last year evening was the clear winner but i just havent had the activity this year..
~  ~One of my favorite clothing patterns is camouflage. Because when you're in the woods it makes you blend in. But when you're not it does just the opposite. It's like "hey, there's an *censored*."”

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.

I'm seeing the same thing. I would say just in the last two weeks I've noticed the stumps have been getting hit. Kind of interesting since the area I've been in has all kinds of berrried, huck, salmon, wild strawberries, and blackberries. They must need a little variety and maybe some bug/grub protein.
