Years ago we took the kids to NW Trec in October. It was raining so I grabbed my Gore-Tex hunting jacket, while we were there I found my mouth reed in one of the pockets, so I figured why-not!!! . As we went by the elk I did some cow calls and a little bugle. All the elk looked up and the bull chuckled back, then started walking our way (got with in 10yrds). All of the Asian tourist freaked out and ran to the other side of the tram, it was awesome . My kids loved it

I do all my practice in the truck while driving to and from work. Lots of time on your hands while driving. I don't suggest using a tube while driving though, lots of people look at you really weird plus it not that safe . If your just learning, pick up a CD and try to mimic it or just listen to it. Can be helpful.
