1961 Mulie
« on: August 15, 2011, 12:04:41 AM »
I was going through my dads taxidermy shop and stumbled across this great set of antlers that was shot in Washington in 1961.
I've spent most of my life hunting and fishing....the rest has been wasted

Got to be a Sawtooth buck

The mass is unreal and it is one of my favorite sets that he has...but it would be interesting to find out the stories behind the old trophies.  I will find some more and share some others.  Ill post the tags so you can see how different the tags were back then.

i have often wonderd the same thing about the ole days when seeing monster bucks were a dime a dozen, i am guessing we dont have to worry about that ever again... remember the old time pictures of some of the deer camps that had 20 stud bucks hanging in them?
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"

Very nice, I think it's time to find a gnarly thick necked muley cape and mount that bad boy.
