What kind of dogs are you running?  It's a tough area to coon hunt, most of the coons live inside the towns and cities.  There is also about 10 porky pines to every coon.  Last year was a good year for coons in the area.  There is a new hound club starting down in Pomeroy, WA, a bit of a drive but there will be some coon hunts on along the Snake River.  One thing, not sure where your from, but if it is down south or the midwest, one thing you need to come to terms with is you cannot shoot many coons out to your dogs or it won't be long and you'll have nothing to run.  I hunted fairly hard last winter and put....I think it was 16 coons up.  I shot out 4 and that was probably 1 or 2 too many.  Also you need to pay attention to the regs, you cannot coon hunt for several weeks while rifle deer and elk are in.  Good luck and maybe we can hook up for a hunt or two this winter.
