CCW Holster review
« on: August 16, 2011, 03:19:24 PM »
Called Tommy last Wednesday to ask about a holster for my new Kahr CM9.
Ordered the holster Wednesday night on the computer. He had the holster built and shipped by Saturday morning. In my mailbox Tuesday.

His holsters are combat cut standard (not special order). Kydex is full length to prevent barrel wear on clothing. Lifetime warranty. With 2 week buy back guarantee (including shipping) if you don't like it for any reason.

Hell of a buy for $65. Couldn't be happier with his customer service. Or the holster.

Crossbreed was $30 more. With a 7-10 week turn around.

Looks good! I have been strongly considering a crossbreed for my g20 and my future edc gun. How does it conceal? That crossbreed make them dissapear.

That's a good price even for a mass produced holster!

And just who is this "Tommie"?

Conceals just like a crossbreed!

Check out his web site and read the reviews.

Hows the comfort? Does it stay in place throughout the day?

Yep, very comfortable. And distributes weight very well. I have put off trying one of these hybrid holsters because of the size. But they are great. First IWB I have owned that conceals with a tee shirt TUCKED IN.
I will still carry with my shirt untucked.  But tested the tuckability of these holsters. They sure live up to all the hype.
I will definitely be purchasing a few more for my larger carry pieces.

I use a Galco King Tuk about 90% of the time.

From order date to delivery was two days, fantastic quality and hides very well. I would love a Milt Sparks VM2, but do not want to wait 26 - 30 weeks for delivery.

Looks like a very good copy of a crossbreed. I bought a crossbreed, and within a year went back and ordered another for my other carry gun-saying something for a 60$ holster. I also use Don Hume 715M -they are 25-30 bucks, good quality, and a little quicker to take on and off..

I have had many holsters, the hybrids (crossbreeds, King Tuk, and others) are by far the most comfortable for me to carry IWB. The Milt Sparks VM2 is a hand made work of art (expensive and long wait time) is the only non hybrid I have tried that is as comfortable and concealable as the hybrids. I also use a Southern Comfort 2 from Galco, and a Don Hume H721 O.T. depending on what I am wearing.

You never have too many holsters, LOL

I don't have a desire to accumulate holsters. I can agree that you can never buy too many holsters. Don't limit yourself to three if there's a chance the 4th might be the perfect fit.
