29.13 oz king out of the Puyallup
« on: August 16, 2011, 10:21:53 PM »
Just got in from fishing.  I will post a picture of the fish later.  I did not believe they had that big of a king in the Puyallup.   The skeins were as long my hand to my elbow.

A 29lb hatchery chinook is pretty impressive. Good work.

I was up from the soccer fields some ways.  I heard there was a monster across the soccer fields.  This morning there was a 20 lb king taken out of the same hole I pulled mine out of.

The pinks are all over that river.  They are in great shape and there are 1000's of fish in the river.

The colors if I was going would be a #14 green corky or one bugger.  Then some pink/darker pink colored yarn.  I add egg scent to the yarn in the gel.  4 to 5 feet of leader...

My son and I have been knocking the crap out of the fish.  I personally banked 8 fish in 1 1/2 hours this morning.  Go fishing people...

Make sure to keep the roe!  Let me know if you need help curing it, I'm just down the road from ya.  I might fish it Sat morning.  So short on time with the archery season coming up!
