Looks like im hunting alone
« on: August 20, 2011, 09:03:27 AM »
I have been planning a widerness hunt for mue deer for over a year now. A buddy of mine was going to hike in and hunt with me. My truck pulls out Aug 31 and no one has talked to him or seen him :bash:. I do have a friend hiking in with me but he does not hunt. After the time and money that I have put into the trip I'll be damned if I cancell now. At least there will be someone at camp. I will leave him my extra map and show him where I plan on hunting every day.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

throttle....that bites. I had almost the very same thing happen to me last year. It was a real disappointment. The whole season really kind of went that way for me last year. Hoping for a nice rebound this year tho. I'd offer to go with ya but I doubt I could keep up with you on the hike. Not to mention I couldn't get the time off in that short of notice. I wish you luck tho.

My hunting partner decided without me that were hunting a new area this year, for what reason I don't know.
A month ago he calls me up and says were hunting a new spot this year, bull shot I said, looks like your hunting alone partner  :chuckle:

Let me clarify, I am no truck hunter and I love to hike, but I have to stop and rest more than the younger guys now    :'(
