Diamond Razor Edge ?

This bow was recommended to me as a good starter package that is also available in a left handed version. Any thoughts on this bow or other in this price range set up?

Good friend got one as a starter bow. Good package set up for a beginner at a reasonable price. He hasn't had any complaints and is still using it 3 years later.

My wife got this bow as a starter 2 yrs. ago. It is a great starter bow however it didn't take long to realize that we needed to change not only the rest but the sight as well. I would actually say that you could buy a good bare bow for around $300 and spend $100-150 in sight and rest and probably have a better bow.

I am completely green when it comes to archery other than a couple of occasions shooting a bow over the years so i am just looking for something kinda simple to get started with.

They are good starting bows. Change the rest and it will work fine. There are some better bows out there that might work better. I would find a local shop and shoot some fifteenth bows and see what fits you well

Not much they are sister companies. I don't follow there line up, but if you go to there web site it should show the stats on both. Draw length range, weight, draw # range etc.

Everything i can find shows black ice to be about $200 more. That's the bow I shoot and love it!
I agree with the Craigslist comment, I always see very nice bows from $150-$400

I'm getting one this christmas for my son. He's 9. He'll be able to use this bow until he's done growing, and then he can upgrade with his own money

Thanks for the responses I'll have to get out and go shoot a few bows pretty soon to see what i like. The razor edge is right in my price range.
