I went to this setting process meeting last night in Yakima. I was in complete shock with the attendance.  It really makes me wonder why so many folks complain but never do anything other than complain.  WDFW set this up to allow thehunters of Wa an opportunity to speak openly and share your thoughts and ideas. I gave them some suggestions and they were written down. I went, I spoke, I shared,. The rest of you should atleast take the survey otherwise when those subjects come up DON'T EVEN BOTHER to start complaining!
15 people showed up! PATHETIC! I'm really hoping that they poor attendance was because you all already provided input on line. Please someone tell me that was the case????
By the way Dave Ware said I believe 48 folks showed up in Spokane the night before??????????????

Yep almost 50 in SPokane, only 25 or so in Federal Way.  Heard Centralia was a low attendance also.  I was at the Federal Way meeting, closest to me which was a 2 hour drive each way.  I know we had a few show from the archery organizations at all of them.  Easy for everyone to come on the internet and complain about everything, but ask them to take a couple of hours out of their time...

It is disappointing, I went to Federal Way, only four hours total out of my night.  I spend 5 hours driving one way to set up camp the week before the season, drive back 5 hours to go to work and then do the same drive and take a week off of work in the early and late seasons.  A few hours of meeting to get my voice heard and keep the opportunity to hunt seems like a small price to pay.  I am sure most people spend tons of time and money on hunting, why not go a little farther and spend some time at a meeting to keep the opportunity available.

I hope your experience at the meeting was a good one and you were happy to get the one on one time with the representatives.  That is the good thing about a low turnout, those that did go got a lot of face time to voice their concerns.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
