Colockum or Yakima

Early archery.  What herd would you choose to hunt?  Where are the most people?  I don't like people. Why would you choose that herd?

You picked a couple of doozies if you don't like to hunt around people.  Almost impossible with either of those herds.  If I do have place with no people, and I'm unwilling to say if I do or not  :chuckle: , I certainly wouldn't be mentioning it.

That being said, I understand your question and why you asked it.  Good luck with making a decision.

Oh, there are long threads on how there are no elk in the Colockum because bigfoot ate them all.  I just want to say that every piece of information about bigfoot in the Colockum is abolutely true but that there are a lot of elk in the Blues and you should probably go there.

You can't shoot cow in the colockum herd and its true spike only!! Hunting the yakima side gives you a better chance at harvesting a animal. Good luck on getting away from people

That's really kind of a tough one.
There areas to do your best to get away from the peeps in the Naneum Basin.  Anything around the Reserve and North, South and East of it you could have a tough time finding an un-occupied tree.
Me, I'd stick to the Yakima units.  Simply because there is more square miles of country to try and get away.

Better get a horse and pack in, even then ur prob gonna be running into people if ur in cow/spike units. Other wise take the chance and go after spikes cuz ya will see almost no body in the spike units.

AHH, the CCC as reared its ugly head once again with its bassakwards dribble. one of thier leaders even calls him self clockumelk in tribute to the vast & plentifull herds there. search the threads with an open mind & look at some of the photographic proof about the feets decimating the blue mnt elk. no feets in the clockum=plentifull, healthy elk herds. no elk in the blues.

Yeah the bigfoot has wiped out the blues herd. They have more sightings in the Blues than the Clockum. Here is a report of a bigfoot for the Walla Walla Watershed. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=7406  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

And most of them just drive around the roads looking for an easy score. Get out of your rig and off the road and you probably will see less than a handful of people while hunting the yakima units. Good Luck.

I named myself colockumelk in TRIBUTE to the once great elk herds that roamed that area.  That is until the Blue Mountain Mafia unleashed bigfoot on that area.

there were never any foots released into the clockum area or any other area. the message has always been that they have distroyed the blues. why would anyone release this distruction on another unit willfully? as sportsmen we treasure our wildlife & have warned others of the distruction in our areas. for the CCC to try & flip the message for the sake of keeping thier herds to themselves is dispicable. Anyway- back to the original topic.

Really!!!  Wow do you know how many pictures I've posted with the BMM clan leader  hanging out with bigfoot.  Who do you think taught him to be such a ruthless killer.  I can't believe how naive some people are.  Wait....  DIY you didn't dreak the blue cool aid that the BMM passes out did you?   :bdid:

You kidding, bigfoot chased them from the colockum -towards- the blues, when they came across the hanford area, they got addicted to the radioactive grass because all the bulls know it makes their horns huge.  Which in turn makes their ladies happy.  They all currently reside around the hanford area.  It's true!

Only problem with all those Hanford bulls...it's only one bull but lots of heads and feet.
