Colockum or Yakima

Early archery.  What herd would you choose to hunt?  Where are the most people?  I don't like people. Why would you choose that herd?

You picked a couple of doozies if you don't like to hunt around people.  Almost impossible with either of those herds.  If I do have place with no people, and I'm unwilling to say if I do or not  :chuckle: , I certainly wouldn't be mentioning it.

That being said, I understand your question and why you asked it.  Good luck with making a decision.

Oh, there are long threads on how there are no elk in the Colockum because bigfoot ate them all.  I just want to say that every piece of information about bigfoot in the Colockum is abolutely true but that there are a lot of elk in the Blues and you should probably go there.

You can't shoot cow in the colockum herd and its true spike only!! Hunting the yakima side gives you a better chance at harvesting a animal. Good luck on getting away from people

That's really kind of a tough one.
There areas to do your best to get away from the peeps in the Naneum Basin.  Anything around the Reserve and North, South and East of it you could have a tough time finding an un-occupied tree.
Me, I'd stick to the Yakima units.  Simply because there is more square miles of country to try and get away.

Better get a horse and pack in, even then ur prob gonna be running into people if ur in cow/spike units. Other wise take the chance and go after spikes cuz ya will see almost no body in the spike units.

AHH, the CCC as reared its ugly head once again with its bassakwards dribble. one of thier leaders even calls him self clockumelk in tribute to the vast & plentifull herds there. search the threads with an open mind & look at some of the photographic proof about the feets decimating the blue mnt elk. no feets in the clockum=plentifull, healthy elk herds. no elk in the blues.
