I've had several of you tell me..."I should have listened to your Window of Opportunity" post and taken advantage of those rates. Well, if you've been kicking yourself for missing the last one; good news....another window has opened.
As a result of key Fed speeches today....Mortgage Rates Improved!!!! We are looking at some of the best rates that we've seen since May. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke's remarks at the FDIC Mortgage Lending Forum soothed the investment community and this resulted in a stronger trading US dollar that sent oil and other commodity prices plunging. This helped both bonds and stocks. When bond prices improve, so do mortgage rates! It's important to understand that this will not last. Our economy is seeing inflation, and to curb the inflation,the fed will increase rates. It's not a matter of "if", it's only a matter of "when" and "how much".
