OK for first time. Be sure to try different powder loads to get the best accuracy. It will get better. I have the same gun, was shooting water filled milk jugs at 200 yards on Sunday.

I've been playing with mine a little lately. I haven't noticed much change in accuracy with different powder loads. I've used any where from 100grains to 150grains and bullets from 240grains to upper 300's. slap a scope on it to work up a good accurate load andthen take it off and get it where you want with open sights. A lot of people will bad mouth the X-150 but I've shot 5 or 6 of them and killed game with 3 different guns, they shoot well for me.

I'm usually at about 110gr Triple 7 3f. Was shooting .50cal 295gr lead powerbelts, or .357cal 175gr Dead Centers- obviously different elevation adjustment on the peep.

Thats the gun i am trying to get a good load for my son. I got down to 90 gns. But shot the sst bullets. Think i need a different bullet. 295 powerbelts work ok? The sst was tight.

295 LEAD Powerbelts work for me. Killed a lot of deer and a few elk. All but one deer dropped in it's tracks- one made it 15 feet. One elk made it 40 yards.
